OKLAHOMA CITY –Sen. Frank Simpson recently filed Senate Bill 913, which clarifies that Oklahoma Army or Air National Guard personnel with proper authorization may carry loaded or unloaded concealed weapons on Oklahoma Military Department facilities while performing a military function.In July, a terrorist opened fire on military recruiting centers as well as a Navy Operational Support Center and Marine Corps Reserve Center. Four Marines were killed. A Navy sailor, a Marine recruiter, and a police officer were wounded. SGA discusses surveys on concealed carry
The Student Governing Association discussed efforts by the Kansas Board of Regents to implement and gain student input on a statewide policy concerning concealed carry laws on university campuses Thursday.The regents’ exemption to Kansas’ concealed carry law, which allows state universities to ban concealed carry weapons on campus, is set to expire in 2017.
